Buffalo Money Matters is a for profit organization that provides free financial education to Western New York consumers. Our main objective is to provide the hard working people of WNY with the resources to make better, more practical financial decisions.
Through building lasting partnerships with our clients, we are able to provide personal finance education for WNY families. We teach the community how to tidy up their financial house via online modules, seminars and personalized 1-on-1 sessions. The best part...? There are no strings attached. We pride ourselves on being an independent third party that has an extensive network of trusted finance professionals, available when you need one.
Our President & CEO, Andrew Mackmin, is a graduate of Northeastern University's International Business program (finance), bilingual (Spanish & English) and has worked & lived in three different countries (Spain, Mexico, USA). Andrew is focused on helping families make better financial decisions and believes that this starts with sharing the right information with families:
"It is amazing to me that we are required to learn trigonometry in high school and yet the vast majority of the population has minimal to no understanding of budgeting & personal financial planning. To make matters worse, companies prey on this and make a lot doing it. It's time to change that."
